Hilton Head, NC: In an exciting match that came down to the wire, the Ramapo College men's tennis team earned a 5-4 victory over Endicott College at the Spring Fest Tennis Tournament today. With the victory the Roadrunners improve to 5-2 overall on the year.
Mike Abelev got the first point for Ramapo at third singles when he defeated Michael Dolph, 6-2, 6-1.
Justin Bevilacqua and
Mike Friedman got points at fourth and fifth singles. Bevilacqua defeated Michael Lauretano, 6-4, 6-1 before Friedman posted a 4-6, 7-5, 10-8 victory.
Adam Petrovics rounded out singles action with a 6-2, 6-0 win for the Roadrunners.
Ramapo's final point of the match, which was enough to earn the victory, came at second doubles where
Willen Feygin and Abelev defeated Lauretano and Sean McAndrews, 8-3.
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow at 11:30am when they take on the University of Scranton.
