Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team dropped a tough decision to non-conference rival Hunter College tonight at the Bradley Center, 2-3 (25-17, 23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 17-19). The Roadrunners fall to 10-11 overall while the Hawks now stand at 14-8 on the year.
Hunter was led by Steven Tarquinio who tallied 12 kills, seven blocks and five digs while Brandon Kohler added 11 kills, hitting .320 in the match. Colin Horn tallied ten digs while Gary Anderson posted a team high 35 assists including five kills, nine digs and two blocks. The team hit .140 in the match with 44 kills on 136 attemps with 25 errors.
Three Roadrunners posted double figures in kills in the five set match.
Justin Feigeles led the team with 19 kills, four aces, six digs and four blocks while
Peter Desvousges tallied 12 kills, three aces, nine digs and one block.
Marinus Tavernier collected ten kills, hitting .273 in the match, he also posted six blocks including two solo.
Alec Weissman dished out a match high 60 assists, while he posted five digs and two blocks and four kills.
Kurt MacDonald led the team on defense with 23 digs and three assists.
Ryan Casci and
Spencer Shickora each collected six kills while Casci added six kills on the night. The Roadrunners hit .169 in the match with 69 kills on 172 attempts and 39 errors. They also tallied 12 service aces.
The Roadrunners return to action on Thursday when they host Rutgers-Newark University at the Bradley Center at 7pm.
