Union, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team fell to Skyline rival #2 Kean University 0-3 (25-23, 21-25, 18-25, 17-25) while they defeated conference foe Yeshiva University 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-10). The Roadrunners now stand at 4-7 overall and 1-1 in the Skyline.
Against Kean (11-0, 1-0 Skyline), the Roadrunners were led by
Ryan Casci who tallied 16 kills while
Peter Desvousges added 11 kills of his own.
Marinus Tavernier recorded six kills and two blocks.
Kurt MacDonald led the team with 14 digs while
Justin Feigeles posted 32 assists and 11 digs along with three kills. The team hit .085 in the match with 41 kills on 118 attempts with 31 errors.
The Cougars hit .190 in the match with 41 kills on 105 attempts with 21 errors. Bex Arslani led the team with 16 kills while Ed Jedziniak posted seven of his own. Ron Dunn led the team with 32 assists, four digs and two blocks and Arslani led the team on defense with ten digs and four total blocks
In Ramapo's win over Yeshiva (1-3, 0-1 Skyline), the team was led by
Petko Ljusic with eight kills while
Jake Matreale tallied six kills of his own.
Patrick Wixted tallied five kills, four aces and one block while
Spencer Shickora added three kills and five aces in the match. Feigeles dished out 24 assists and
Garrett Fitzsimmons added ten of his own. Shickora led the team on defense with seven digs while Feigeles tallied five digs. The team hit .321 in the match with 45 kills on 84 attempts with 18 errors.
Yeshiva was led by Joseph Lipton who recorded three kills while Jorge Dabah dished out a team high five assists. Joseph Benichou led the team on defense with six digs. The team hit -.109 in the match with seven kills on 55 attempts and 13 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on February 18th when they host Vassar College at the Bradley Center at 7pm.
