Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated Mount Saint Mary College today 121-61. The Roadrunners remain undefeated at 2-0 overall while the Knights drop to 0-1 on the season.
Ramapo won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:41.25. The team was made up of
Andrew Ramos,
RJ Carillo,
Jose Alferez and
Charlie May. Aspen Jade-Tucker and
Nicholas Markwell finished 1-2 in the 1,000-yard freestyle with times of 10:46.52 and 11:02.73.
Peter Kellner and
Jesse Smith also earned back-to-back finish in the 200-yard freestyle going 1-2 with times of 1:53.28 and 1:55.05.
May,
Will Mayer and
Andrew Caetano grabbed the top three spots in the 50-yard freestyle. May finished in first when he clocked in at 23.67, Mayer grabbed second in 23.93 and Caetano placed third in 24.77. Daniel Drozdewicz placed first overall in the 200-yard IM in 2:13 flat before Smith (54.86) and
Kyle Jackson (57.77) went 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Andrew Ramos grabbed first place in the 100-yard freestyle (50.75) while
Matt Stenger placed first in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.12.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to SUNY New Paltz on October 31st for a meet at 1pm.
