Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College Roadrunners defeated rival Montclair State University, 98-84, today at the Bradley Center. Ramapo improved to 12-8 overall, 6-7 in the NJAC while MSU falls to 5-13 overall, 2-11 in the conference.

Chuck McBreen earned his 300th career victory. Ramapo had four players score in double figures as
Frank Nock tallied 28 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Ve'Shawn Polite tallied 25 points, seven rebounds and three steals while
Thomas Bonacum posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Nick Stanek added ten points and one block. The team shot 55% (30-55) from the field, 47% (7-15) from beyond the three-point line and 80% (31-39) from the foul line. The Roadrunners forced 16 MSU turnovers, resulting in 20 Ramapo points. Ramapo also scored 40 points in the paint and out rebounded the Red Hawks, 41-27.
For MSU, Shaune Russell led the team with 27 points while Lavrone Green tallied 16 points and Erik Loften-Harris added 13 points of his own. The Red Hawks shot 50% (30-60) from the field, 38% (7-18) from beyond the three-point line and 59% (17-29) from the foul line. MSU forced 18 Roadrunner turnovers resulting in 20 points.
In the first half, Nock and Stanek hit back-to-back three pointers to take a three-point lead, 15-12, before the game was tied for the sixth time of the game, 28-28, with 4:17 to go on a made foul shot from Russell for MSU. Ramapo took their biggest lead of the half, 33-28, on a jumper from Polite with just over three minutes to play. The Red Hawks went on a mini 4-0 run before Nock sank a three-pointer (2:21) to take a four point lead, 36-32. Ramapo went into the locker room up four, 40-36.
In the second half, the lead changed four times before the Roadrunners went up, 63-52, with 12:41 on the clock. MSU shrunk the lead to nine before Ramapo went on an 8-0 run to go up, 77-60, on a dunk and made foul shot from Moseley. The Roadrunners held their biggest lead, 81-63 on two foul shots from Bonacum with just over six minutes to play. With 4:17 on the clock, Russell nailed a three-pointer to come within nine, 72-81, before Ramapo extended their lead, 92-79, with 2:19 on the clock. The two teams traded baskets down the stretch as Ramapo ended the game on a 4-0 run to pick up their 12th win of the season, 98-84.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, February 4th when they travel to rival New Jersey City University for a conference game at 8:00pm.
