MOSELEY LEADS RAMAPO OVER ROWAN, 79-77

Glassboro, NJ:  Christopher Moseley scored the go ahead basket with one second on the clock to defeat NJAC rival Rowan University on the road, 79-77. The Roadrunners improve to 11-7 overall, 5-6 in the conference while the Profs fall to 13-4 overall, 6-5 in the NJAC.
 
The score was tied four times in the final four minutes of the game. Moseley helped tie the game for the Roadrunners two times down the stretch and then hit the game winning shot to seal the win for the Roadrunners.
 
In the second half, James Long hit a three-pointer off a dish from Frank Nock (1:58) to come within two, 73-75, before Moseley's tip-in off his own rebound tied the game at 75 (1:31). Rowan went up two before Long sunk two foul shots with 51 seconds on the clock. The Profs missed a jumper but grabbed the offensive rebound and then missed a three-pointer allowing Nock to grab the defense rebound. The Roadrunners called a timeout with 19 seconds on the clock, setting up the late game heroics from Moseley.
 
The Roadrunners were led by Moseley and Nock who each scored 19 points while Thomas Bonacum added 17 point, nine rebounds and six steals. James Long added 12 points of his own. Ramapo caused 20 Rowan turnovers, resulting in 18 points. The team shot 48% (26-54) from the field, 58 % (7-12) from beyond the three- point line and 74% (20-27) from the foul line.
 
The Profs were led by Ike Robinson who led all scorers with 35 points, including two three-pointers and 15 rebounds.  Chris Gross added 13 points and nine rebounds while Mike Simpson added ten points and nine rebounds. The team shot 37% (29-77) from the field, 15% (3-19) from beyond the three-point line and 59% (16-27) from the foul line. The Profs forced 24 Ramapo turnovers resulting in 25 points, they also out-rebounded Ramapo 52-34.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on January 28th when they host Kean University at 5:30pm.
