Box Score 2 Hoboken, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team posted a tough 0-3 (14-25, 16-25, 18-25) loss tonight to New York University, before earning a 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-14) victory over Brooklyn College, on day one of the 2014 Stevens Invitational. Ramapo stands at 14-5 on the year, and returns to action tomorrow when they face off with host, Stevens Institute of Technology at 11am, and the United States Coast Guard Academy at 1pm.
In their first match-up of the night, the Roadrunners hit a combined -.032 with 21 kills on 94 attempts and 24 errors. Rookie
Larysa Iwaskiw led the team with eight kills, and chipped in ten digs, while
Emily Harris led the team's defense with 12 digs in the loss.
Kaitlin Mac Iver and
Nicole Herrmann each contributed seven assists on the night.
Iwaskiw led the Roadrunners to a three game sweep over Brooklyn. She collected 13 kills as the team combined for 38, hitting .189 in the win.
Emily Guzman put away 12 kills and Herrmann led the way with 20 assists. Mac Iver chipped in assisting on 14 points. Iwaskiw led the team's defense with 15 digs and
Sarah Mulligan picked up eight of her own.
