Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team picked up their first win in their first match of the 2014-2015 season, 7-2, over visiting Farmingdale State University.
The Roadrunners stand at 1-0 overall while the Rams fall to 0-1 on the season.
The Roadrunners earned two points out of doubles action.
Willen Feygin and
Justin Bevilacqua posted an, 8-2, win at second doubles before Adam Petrovics and
John Seaman won at third doubles, 8-1.
In singles play, Ramapo won second through sixth singles. Feygin won at second singles, 6-0, 6-2 while
Jacob Khodakov won at third singles, 6-1, 6-0. Bevilacqua earned a, 6-1, 6-1, win at fourth singles and Petrovics won, 7-5, 6-1 at fifth singles. Seaman recorded a, 6-1, 6-2, win at sixth singles to wrap up the win for Ramapo.
The Roadrunners return to action this weekend as they host the Roadrunner Invitational on Saturday, beginning at 10am.
