Box Score 2 Bethlehem, PA: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team went 1-1 today on day one of the Greyhound Invitational held at Moravian College. On their 2014 season opening day, Ramapo stands at 1-1 overall.
The Roadrunners posted a 3-2 (25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 16-14) victory over Ursinus, before falling 2-3 (18-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 11-15) to Marymount College in their second match-up of the day.
Larysa Iwaskiw led the Roadrunners to the five set win over Ursinus collecting a team high 27 kills.
Rachel Selmore added nine while the team combined for 55 kills on 218 attempts with 18 errors hitting .170.
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out 48 assists and
Emily Harris and Iwaskiw led the team's defense with 28 and 22 digs respectively.
Iwaskiw added another 27 kills in the team's tough five set loss to Marymount University. SHe hit .184 as the team went .170 with 48 kills on 159 attempts with 21 errors. Mac Iver dished out 38 assists and Iwaskiw led the defense with 26 digs. Harris added 23 digs in the loss.
The Roadrunners will take on Alvernia and Emmanual tomorrow at 10:00am and noon respectively.
