Box Score Scranton, PA: The Ramapo College baseball team defeated non-conference rival the University of Scranton today on the road, 11-5. The Roadrunners now stand at 19-12-1 overall while the Royals stand at 9-15 overall.
Scott Paulus (3-5) drove in four RBI while
Jose Garcia (4-5) added three RBI of his on in the win for the Roadrunners.
Chris Beischer raised his overall record to, 2-0, he struck out six ann walked four while scattering three hits over seven inning of work.
Tom Portesy and
Kevin Checkett pitched the eighth and ninth innings respectively. Portesy struck out three and walked one while Checkett struck out one.
Scranton scored one run in the bottom of the first before Ramapo scored two runs in each of the 3rd, 5th and 6th innings to take a, 6-1 lead. Each team added one run in the seventh before Ramapo scored four in the top of the eighth for a 11-2 lead. The Royals got three back in the bottom of the ninth before Ramapo got the final out for the, 11-5, road win.

Kyle Skoog drove him home with a RBI ground out, 1-1.
Ian Osterman then drove home
Joe Venturino to take a 2-1 lead. In the fifth inning, Osterman drove home Garcia before
Scott Paulus singled home Venturino, 4-1. Ramapo added two more runs in the sixth inning to take a, 6-1 lead.
Kevin Kelly led off with a walk before being lifted for pinch runner
Rich Policastro. Garcia later drove him home with a single before Venturino collected a RBI sac fly, allowing Garcia to touch home plate.
In the top of the seventh, Garcia drove home
Ryan Rinsky with a single before the Royals added one run of their own in the bottom of the inning on a bases loaded fielder's choice, 7-2.
Ramapo added four runs in the top of the eighth inning, taking a 11-2 lead. Paulus ripped a three-run home run, scoring Venturino and Osterman before Garcia drove home

In the bottom of the 9th for Scranton, a walk, single and a walk loaded the bases before Ramapo could record the first out of the inning. An infield ground out plated one run before two more runs crossed home plate on an infield error by the Roadrunners, 11-5.
