Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team earned their third straight win with a, 9-0, non-conference victory over John Jay College today at the Athletic Center.
With the victory the Roadrunners improve to, 8-4 overall while the Bloodhounds fall to 1-6 overall.
In doubles action,
Justin Gerstl and
Evan Clayton earned an, 8-5, win in the first position while
Justin Bevilacqua and
Miles Murphy teamed up at second doubles. The pair came away with an, 8-4 win.
John Seaman and
Philip Fuster posted an, 8-1, win at third doubles.
Fuster had one of the most exciting matches of the night at fourth singles, he came away with a, (6-4, 4-6, 10-8), win. Seaman shutout his opponent at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-0 while
Xavier Espinosa won at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-1. Gerstl won at first singles, 6-1, 6-2 and Bevilacqua won at second singles (7-6, 6-4). Murphy posted a win at third singles, 6-1, 6-0.
The Roadrunners will look to extend their winning streak to four matches on Wednesday, April 16th when they travel to Misericordia University for a 3:00pm match.
