New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's tennis team recorded a 9-0 shut out victory today over the Bloodhounds of John Jay College. With the win the Roadrunners improve to 3-3 overall on the year. John Jay falls to 0-3.
Justin Gerstl earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles, before combining efforts with
Evan Clayton at first doubles, to shut down the John Jay pair, 8-3. Clayton posted a singles win of his own in the second spot, defeating Greg Gon, 6-2, 6-3.
Jacob Khodakov,
Miles Murphy, and
John Seaman all posted shut out wins, 6-0, 6-0, in singles action, while
Justin Bevilacqua posted a 6-2, 6-3 win at fourth singles.
Khadakov and Bevilacqua posted an 8-3 win at second doubles, and Murphy and Seaman wrapped up doubles play with an 8-0 shut out in the third spot.
Ramapo will take on the College of Staten Island when they return to action on Thursday, April 3rd at 4pm in Staten Island, NY.
