Hilton Head, SC: The Ramapo College men's tennis team dropped a tough 0-9 decision to Allegheny College today, before earning a 7-2 victory over Frostburg State, to stand at 2-1 overall on the year.
After a tough match-up with Allegheny, the men bounced back to take Frostburg, 7-2, earning their second win of the season.
Miles Murphy and
Justin Gerstl earned a point for Ramapo when they paired up at 2nd doubles, collecting an 8-0 sweep over the Frostburg pair.
John Seaman and Phillip Fuster also took a doubles match-up, earning a point in the third doubles spot, 8-5.
In singles action,
Jacob Khodakov posted a 7-5, 6-3 win at 1st singles, before Gerstl took 3rd singles, 6-1, 6-0. Murphy, Seaman, and Fuster wrapped up the match each earning a win for the Roadrunners. Murphy posted a point at 4th singles taking down Frostburg, 6-3, 6-0, while Seaman and Fuster posted 2-6, 6-3, 10-6 and 6-2, 6-2 wins respectively.
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow, March 20th, when they take on McDaniel College at 2:30 pm.
