Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swimming team defeated the College of Staten Island today, 139-99, in a non-conference meet. The Roadrunners improve to 2-1 overall while the Dolphins even their record at 1-1 overall.
Andrea Ramos,
RJ Carillo, Daniel Drozdewiz and
Phil Sokoloff clocked in at 3:43.32 for a first place finish in the 400-yard medley relay. The 'B' team made up of,
James Campbell,
Kevin Landmesser, Charles May and
James Buckley placed second overall in 3:56.26.
Chaz Cella picked up nine points for the Roadrunners in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a first place finish in 10:52.99 while Carillo clocked in at 1:00.99 in the 100-yard breaststroke and Landmesser placed second in the breaststroke in 1:07.82.
Jose Alferez (2:09.08), Henningsen (2:11.65) and
Evan Graziano (2:14.42) finished 2-3-4 in the 200-yard butterfly.
The Roadrunners took home the top three places in the 50-yard freestyle. Charles May captured a first place finish in 23.04 while
Kevin Guo placed second in 23.10 and Will Mayer finished in third place, 23.99. Guo placed first overall in the 100-yard freestyle, 50.90 while Carillo placed first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:17.51.
The Roadrunners return to action on November 15th when they travel to the University of Scranton at 1pm.
