Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated the Pioneers of William Paterson, 164-92 tonight in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match-up at the Bradley Center.
Ramapo won 12 of 14 events on the night after the final two events were scored exhibition. The Roadrunners improve to 7-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

Philip Mathys won the event when they clocked in at 3:44.11. The Roadrunners B-relay team placed second in the event in 3:55.75. The team was made up of, Jimmy Campbell,
Frank Patierno,
Charlie May and
Maciej Maj.
Brian Henningsen captured a first place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:26.06) while WPU's Corey Matthews clocked in at 11:02.81 in second place. In the men's 200-yard freestyle race, Ramapo took the top two spots as Philip Sokoloff and
Peter Kellner touched the wall in 1:48.86 and 1:49.87 respectively. Stanton placed first in the 100-yard backstroke (57.68) while Carillo and Mathys went 1-2 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Carillo posted a time of 1:02:82 while Mathys was second in 1:05.73.
In the 200-yard butterfly, Ramapo's Daniel Drozdewicz won the race with a time of 2:07.16 while
Kevin Guo,
Kevin Fries and Maj took the top three spots in the 50-yard freestyle race. Guo won the race in 23.05 while Fries clocked in at 23.22 and Maj was right behind him in 23.34. Guo also captured a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 50.45 while Kellner won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:05.86. The Roadrunners once again took the top three spots in the 200-yard breaststroke. Carillo finished first in 2:19.53 while
Kevin Landmesser finished in second place (2:25.89) and
Frank Patierno took home a third place finish in 2:32.90. Henningsen captured nine points for the Roadrunners in the 500-yard freestyle as he out touched the rest of the field in 5:08.83. WPU's Troy Buglio placed second in the same event as he clocked in at 5:19.45.
Evan Graziano (55.23) out touched WPU's Nicholas Cowie (56.98) in the 100-yard butterfly for a first place finish. In the men's 400-IM, Jeremy Oiler finished first (4:56.22) while the Pioneers 200-yard freestyle relay team took home 11 points with a first place finish (1:35.69).
The Roadrunners will return to action on Saturday, February 1 when they travel to Rowan University for a 2pm NJAC match-up.
