Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University field hockey team remained undefeated with an, 8-0 blanking of Ramapo College tonight at Sprague Field.

The Red Hawks improve to 7-0 overall and 1-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference while the Roadrunners fall to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Montclair State came out strong in the first half putting up five goals before halftime. The Red Hawks got goals two from Maura Johnston and Jennifer Tafro while Brooke Hullings and Stephanie Lewis each netted a goal of their own.

Late in the second half MSU added two more goals from Gianna Moglino and Abby Erler.

In the net, Rebecca Brattole earned the win for the Red Hawks with one save while Kaitlin Wintersteen did not make a save in the final 20:03 of the game.

For Ramapo, Alicia Lyons and Emily Kramer split equal time in the net and posted eight and six saves respectively.

The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to non-conference opponent, Keystone College, on September 21st at 2pm.
