Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team defeated Hunter College today, 8-1 at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners now stand at 3-3 overall while the Hawks fall to 1-4.
Ramapo took two matches in doubles play before sweeping the singles matches for the 8-1 victory.
Justin Gerstl and
Evan Clayton defeated David Jospeh and Damen Ellingson, 8-6 at first doubles while
Jacob Khodakov and
Jacob Wyble defeated Binh Luu and Bilal Naeem, 8-2 at third doubles.
Miles Murphy was the only Roadrunner to sweep his opponent; he won 6-0 & 6-0 at the fourth singles position. Clayton and
John Seaman both won, 6-1 & 6-0 at second and sixth singles respectively while Gerstl posted a win at first doubles, 6-1 & 6-2. Khodakov and Giuliari posted wins at third and fifth singles, 6-3 & 7-5 and 6-2 & 6-0.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Rutgers Camden University on April 3rd at 3:30pm.
