The Roadrunners came back strong scoring one run in the fifth and four runs in the sixth for a 5-3 advantage. In the fifth, John Capuano put down a sacrifice bunt with two runners on base before Chris Werr was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score the lone run of the inning. In the sixth inning, the bases were loaded with no outs before Dave Jacob ripped a single to plate two RBI. Ramapo added another insurance run in the eighth after Jacob led off with a triple and later scored on Scott Paulus' single to take a 6-3 lead, which turned out to be the game winner.

The Bearcats rallied and came within one, but it wasn't enough as Travis Zilg pitched a perfect ninth inning for the save.

Jacob led Ramapo hitting 3-3 with two runs scored and two RBI while Paulus and Werr each collected two hits in the game. Ramapo starting pitcher Tom Portesy worked the first 3.0 innings with three strikeouts before being relieved by Pasquale LaBracio. He worked 5.0 innings, striking out five and scattering three hits.
