Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team combined efforts today for 145 points, which was enough to defeat the Highlanders of Division I NJIT, who earned 117 points, at the Adele & Reuben Thomas Swimming Pool at Ramapo. Ramapo improves to 3-1 overall with the 28-point victory.

RJ Carillo,
Anthony Cusmano, and
Philip Mathys started the day with a first place finish for Ramapo in the 200-yard medley, touching the pool side in 1:35.84. The Roadrunners also took second place in the race with a combined effort from Jimmy Campbell,
Frank Patierno,
Evan Graziano, and
Kevin Fries, who teamed up to finish the race in 2:15.98.
Sokoloff and
Anthony Stanton placed first and second in the 100-yard backstroke in 54.32 and 55.55 respectively, while Sokoloff earned first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:00.77. Stanton swam the same race in 2:05.95 for a second place finish, while
Peter Kellner finished in third in 2:06.74.
Kevin Guo and Fries took first and second place in the 200-yard IM, touching the pool side in 2:07.29 and 2:07.46 respectively, while Mathys, Kellner,
Maciej Maj, and Sokoloff rounded out the top performers on the day earning first place in the 400-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 3:17.46.
Ramapo takes on the University of Scranton on Saturday, November 16th when they return to action at 2:00pm in Mahwah.
