Box Score Union, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team came away with a 1-0 double overtime victory over rival Kean University today at Kean Alumni Stadium. The Roadrunners now stand at 5-5-1 overall, 2-3 in the NJAC while the Cougars fall to 8-5 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
In a defensive struggle each team only managed to get off eight shots a piece with the closest opportunity coming from Kean's Kenny Rocha as he hit the post and crossbar on back to back shots late in the second half.
Overtime saw a continued defensive struggle until
Dan Boffa was able to break the tie scoring the game winning goal off a pass from
Luke Giegerich in the 105th minute.
Brian Petrunik earned the shutout win for Ramapo with two saves.
The Roadrunners will return to action when they host Drew University on October 9th at 3pm.
