Box Score 3 New London, CT: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team posted a 2-1 record at the 2012 Bear Classic hosted by the Coast Guard Academy.
The Roadrunners end the two day event with a 12-9 overall record.
In their first match on Saturday morning, Ramapo posted a thrilling 3-2 win over Worcester State University, 3-2 (25-17, 17-25, 25-11, 22-25, 15-8). In the match, junior

Cathryn Smart each put down a team high 13 kills. Rookie
Rachel Selmore posted 11 kills of her own and a team high 22 digs. Sophomore
Kaitlin Mac Iver tallied 42 assists along with 17 digs and four kills. Rookie
Emily Guzman added ten kills and six digs.
In their second match of the afternoon, Ramapo fell to the host Coast Guard, 1-3 (25-16, 21-25, 20-25, 17-25). Pendleton once again led the team with 15 kills while Smart added 12 of her own. Mac Iver dished out a team high 39 assists while Selmore led the team in digs with 18. Selmore posted seven kills and Guzman put down six kills of her own.
Friday night the Roadrunners went up against Bridgewater State University and game away with a 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-23) victory. Pendleton posted 19 kills and seven total blocks including four solo blocks. Guzman added seven kills and eight total blocks, including a team high six solo blocks. Mac Iver dished out 39 assists while Selmore and sophomore
Emily Harris posted 14 and 12 digs respectively.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 15th when they travel to NJAC rival Montclair State University for a match at 7pm.
