Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision to non-conference rival Eastern Connecticut State University today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners even their overall record at 2-2 while the Warriors remain undefeated at 3-0.
The score remained tied at zero until the 66th minute when a ball deflected off the top of a Ramapo defender's head and out of the reach of rookie goalie
Brian Petrunik to put the Warriors on the board, 1-0.
The Warriors defense held as they came away with the victory. Eastern Connecticut's senior goalie Jordan Munsell made four saves in the win.
For Ramapo, Petrunik tallied seven saves while senior
Rob Santaniello led the team with five shots, two on goal.
Dave Przybylo contributed with three shots, one on goal.
The Warriors edge the Roadrunners in shots, 18-12 and in corner kicks, 8-5.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Old Westbury on September 12th at 4:00 pm.
