Box Score Edwardsville, PA: The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to non-conference rival Wilkes University today on the road, 2-1. The Roadrunners fall to 3-4 overall while the Lady Colonels improve to 4-6 overall.
Aliya Frankel scored both goals for Wilkes in the win while goalie Alexis Reed posted two saves. Fankel got the Colonels on the board in the first half off a pass from Ashley Ream to take a 1-0 lead (8:55).
Ramapo would tie the game when
Dana Shea scored an unassisted goal in the 51st minute, 1-1. Neither team could put the ball into the net until Wilkes scored late in the second half (68:19) to take the 2-1 lead. Frankel took a pass from Emily Saliba and hit the back of the net as the Colonels converted a penalty corner.
For the Roadrunners,
Rebecca Elliott stopped 12 shots for her second double-digit save game of the week.
Ramapo returns to action when they travel to non-conference rival Drew University on Wednesday for a 4:30pm start.
