Women's Volleyball

LADY ROADRUNNERS 2-1 AT ROADRUNNER INVITATIONAL

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team went 2-1 today at the Roadrunner Invitational held at the Bradley Center on the Mahwah campus.  The Lady Roadrunners swept St. Joe's Patchogue and Gwynned Marcy, 3-0, before dropping a tough 0-3 decision to Baruch in the final match-up of the day.

Brittney Jemas led Ramapo with 11 kills in a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-18) sweep over St. Joe's while Cathryn Smart added eight kills of her own.  Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out 18 assists and Emily Harris led the defense with 11 digs.

Smart led the Roadrunners in their second sweep of the day, (25-12, 25-16, 25-15) over Gwynned Mercy, tallying ten kills on 18 attempts with two errors.  Patricia Bergamasco assisted on 15 points and Shelia Soriano led the way with six digs on defense.  The Roadrunners combined for 24 kills in the win.

Ramapo fell 0-3 (12, 25, 20-25, 20-25) to the Bearcats of Baruch in the final match-up of the day, finishing the Invitational standing at 7-2 overall.  Smart posted a team high ten kills and Jemas and Julia Tuzio each added six of their own.  Mac Iver dished out 23 assists and Jemas led the defense with 14 digs.

Ramapo returns to action on September 20th when they host Richard Stockton at 7pm.
