SANTANIELLO BREAKS CAREER GOAL RECORD IN 4-1 WIN

| Box Score 2 Mahwah, NJ: Senior Rob Santaniello broke the all-time record for career goals today as he led Ramapo to victory over the Yellow Jackets of Randolph Macon, 4-1. Santaniello posted two goals in the win, breaking the record previously held by Ramapo Hall of Famer, Nansha Kalonji. Ramapo improves to 1-1 overall and Randolph Macon falls to 0-2 on the year.

The Vikings of Berry College earned a 2-1 victory in game one over Rowan University earning the 2012 President's Cup title. Berry improves to 2-0 overall while Rowan falls to 1-1.

Berry got on the scoreboard first at 42:54 when David Shaw ripped an unassisted shot, upper ninety, past the diving Rowan goaltender. Ryan Gordon tied the game for the Profs at 55:09 before Zak Wallingford took a pass from Matt Majestic recording the game winning goal for Berry with just under 20 minutes to play.

Rowan out shot Berry 16-10 in the game and Ryan Gill made six saves in goal for the Profs. Logan Hill earned the win making nine saves in net.

In game two, Santaniello gave Ramapo a 1-0 edge just 1:25 into the game, tying the record for career goals with his 52nd of his career. Rookie Abanoub Bestawros hit the back of he net off a deflection from rookie Anthony Nucci putting Ramapo ahead two goals to none.

In the second half, Dave Przybylo posted his first goal of the season at 49:02 before Santaniello struck again, scoring his 53rd goal of his career, breaking the record for all-time career goals at Ramapo. The goal was assisted by Zach Savacool at 51:14.

Rookie goaltender Grant Korten blocked eight shots while his team ripped 13 shots in the game. Randolph Macon took 14 shots holding a slight edge for the game.

Chris Lowe made four saves for the Yellow Jackets in the loss.

Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to FDU Florham for a 4pm start.
