Box Score Mahwah, NJ: Montclair State's Sean Hille fired a complete game shutout over Ramapo College today at Jeff Maund Field, 6-0. The Roadrunners fall to 14-5 overall, 1-2 in the NJAC while the Red Hawks improve to 13-7 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
Hille scattered five hits and struck out 11 with only one walk. The Red Hawks scored one run in the top of the third inning. Mickey McGraw was hit by a pitch before Cody Pace ripped an RBI double to right field, 1-0. MSU added two runs in the fifth and three runs in the ninth highlighted by a three run home run by Kevin Bond in the ninth inning.
The Roadrunners left five men on base to MSU's seven. Ramapo starting pitcher
PJ Cerreto struck out 11 in the loss as he scattered four hits over seven innings of work.
Marco Carolla and
Anthony Vinci each collected two hits a piece for the Roadrunners.
Ramapo and Montclair State return to action tomorrow in Montclair, NJ in a 3:30 PM NJAC game.
