Box Score Auburndale, FL: #24 The Ramapo College baseball field suffered their first loss of the 2012 season as they fell to #6 University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, 5-2. Ramapo stands at 10-1 overall while UW-Stevens Point improves to 6-1.
UW-Stevens Point jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second and added another in the third and fourth innings. Ramapo scored two runs in the fourth inning. The bases were loaded for

Matthew Hancock who walked to lead off the fourth.
Chris Werr scored on
Dave Jacob's sacrifice fly to left field; Werr was hit by a pitch earlier in the inning.
UW Stevens Point would get one back in the fifth inning on and RBI single, extending their lead to 5-2.
Walker Larson struck out two in his first appearance as he went 4.2 innings.
Daniel Youngsman and
Mark Doyle came out of the bull pen for the Roadrunners combining for three strikeouts and scattering five hits over the final 4.1 innings pitched.
Anthony Vinci (2-3) was the lone Roadrunner to record a multi-hit game. Ramapo returns to action tomorrow when they take on Ahmerst College at 10:00 AM.
