Anthony Pasciolla led the Ramapo men's soccer team to a 1-0 shut out victory over the Colonials of Western Connecticut today in a non-conference match-up at the Athletic Center.
In the 51st minute, after a scoreless first half, Pasciolla ripped a rebounded ball in the back of the net to push Ramapo over Western Connecticut one goal to none. The game remained that way until the final buzzer earning Ramapo their 8th win (8-6-1) of the 2012 season.
Rookie net minder
Grant Korten earned the shut out playing the full 90 minutes. He was tested on two occasions keeping the net clear. Jack Holub stopped four Ramapo shots as the Roadrunners out shot the Colonials (3-9-2) 14-4 in the game. Ramapo held a 6-2 advantage in shots after the first 45 minutes. The Roadrunners earned seven corner kicks while the Colonials recorded none.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 20th when they host Rutgers Camden in their final regular season home game of the year. Kick off is set for 1pm.
