Rob Santaniello led the Ramapo College men's soccer team to a 3-1 NJAC victory over rival Richard Stockton College today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 7-6-1 overall, 4-3 in the NJAC while the Ospreys fall to 5-7-2 overall, 2-5-1 in the conference.
Santaniello put the Roadrunners on the board, 1-0, just 4:09 into the game with his 10th goal of the year. Stockton would tie the game in the 22nd minute as Jared Ruff hit the back of the net, 1-1.
In the second half, Santaniello put Ramapo in the lead with the eventual game winning goal at 49:57 and ten minutes later, he picked up the assist as senior Andrew Wilcox scored his first goal (59:55) of the season, 3-1.
Rookie
Grant Korten recorded six saves in the win while Ramapo held a slight 20-18 shot advantage. Bob Millar stopped four for the Ospreys.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host non-conference rival Western Connecticut State University on October 17th at 3:00pm.
