Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's swimming team defeated NJAC rival Montclair State University today at the Adele and Reuben Thomas Swimming Pool. The Roadrunners improve to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

The Roadrunners won ten out of 14 events in the meet led by Mike Waterhouse who recorded three first place finishes, 100-yard freestyle (50.42), 100-yard butterfly (55.10) and 200-yard butterfly (2:11.13). Stephen Fox won the 100-yard backstroke (56.77), 200-yard backstroke (2:02.05) and the 50-yard freestyle (22.49). Rookie Phil Sokoloff captured a first place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:22.84.
Robert Stein placed first in the 200-yard breaststoke when he clocked in at 2:17.42. The 200-yard medley relay team made up of Fox, Richard Maier, Waterhouse and Sokolff also placed first with a time of 1:39.01.

Prior to the meet the Roadrunners honored their seniors, Nikolas Ablan, Stephen Fox, Richard Maier, Johnny Olsson and Mike Waterhouse. 

The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday when they host NJAC rival William Paterson University at 6:00pm.
