WPU, RAMAPO PLAY TO 2-2 TIE IN DOUBLE OT

Box Score Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College and William Paterson University played to a 2-2 double overtime tie in a NJAC men's soccer game today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners now stand at 5-2-2, 1-1-1 in the NJAC while the Pioneers stand at 7-1-2, 1-1-1 in the conference.

Wes Ostrzycki scored his first goal of the season to put WPU on the board in the first half (9:55), he was assisted by Anthony Ferrer, 1-0.

Ramapo would tie the game on Rob Santaniello's tenth goal of the year on a penalty kick at 26:55. The goal gave him 47 career goals and put him in second place in the all-time career list. The Roadrunners were awarded the penalty kick when Jonathan Yazo was taken down inside the box.

WPU's Naeem Boucher tallied his eighth goal of the year to put the Pioneers up 2-1 in the second half (49:56), he was assisted by Dan Patton. Yazo then ripped a shot from 18-yards out, into the upper half of the net for his third goal of the year as he was assisted by Danny Walsh to tie the game at two.

The score would remain tied through both overtime periods as both teams got off two shots a piece while WPU made one save in the second overtime.

WPU held a 22-14 advantage in shots in the game while both teams recorded two corners. Steve Monaghan recorded five saves in the game for Ramapo while Zach Collins did the same for the Pioneers.

Ramapo returns to action when they travel to Kean University on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
