Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated NJAC rival William Paterson University today on the road, 167-95. The Roadrunners improve to 6-4, 1-3 in the conference.
The 200-yard medley relay team made up of
Stephen Fox,
Richard Maier,
Mike Waterhouse and
Johnny Olsson finished first overall with a time of 1:41.73.
Geoff Richter placed first in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:59.01 while Olsson and Richter went 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.90 and 1:51.26.
Fox won the 100-yard backstroke when he clocked in 54.13 while
Alex Krueger took third in 1:01.36.
Kyle Plucinsky and
David Nehls placed first and second in 1:03.80 and 1:03.98 respectively. In the 50-yard freestyle Richter placed first (22.29) while Waterhouse placed second (22.92). Richter also took home a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 50.27 while Fox placed first in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:00.25.
David Nehls finished in first place in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:19.36 while Olsson placed first in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:18.82.
The Roadrunners will compete in the Metropolitan Conference Championships hosted by Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ on February 18-20th.
