New Paltz, NY:  The Ramapo College men's swim team posted a 136-126 road win over New Paltz today at Elting Pool. The Roadrunners improve to 2-1 while the Hawks fall to 3-4.  The Roadrunners won nine out of 12 individual events during the meet.

Philip Sokoloff led the Roadrunners with three individual wins and he anchored the 400-yard medley relay in which Ramapo placed second. In the 1,000-yard freestyle he clocked in at 10:20.6 while in the 200-freestyle he posted the win in 1:49.2 and in the 500-freestyle he clocked in at 4:58.2. The 400-yard medley relay team was made up of Stephen Fox, Rob Stein, Mike Waterhouse and Sokoloff.

Fox finished first in 50-yard freestyle in which he set a new New Paltz pool record, 22.27. In the 100-yard backstroke he also placed first in 53.83 while Waterhouse placed first in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:06.97. Fox also captured a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle when he clocked in at 22.27 while he won the 200-yard backstroke in 1:59.90. Waterhouse also took home first place honors in the 100-yard butterfly (54.60) while Andrew English clocked in at 2:03.30 in the 200-yard IM, also a first place finish.

The Roadrunners return to action when they host Montclair State University at 2:00pm. The Roadrunners will also honor it's senior class prior to the meet.
