Box Score Pomona, NJ:  The Richard Stockton men's soccer team (8-5-1, 2-2-1 NJAC) broke a two-match losing streak with a 1-0 shutout over NJAC foe Ramapo (6-4-2, 2-2-1) on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half that saw the Ospreys get off 11 of their 15 corner kicks in the contest, Pat Rafferty scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season at the 59:18 mark. His header came after a nice pass from Randy Kohr. The play started with a corner kick from Clay Gashlin.

Ramapo's Rob Santaniello had the best opportunity for a Roadrunners' score with just over 12 minutes remaining on a shot that Lou Herring deflected away.

Herring made the goal stand up as he picked up his second victory and first shutout of the season, making three saves. Steve Mongahan also made three saves in taking the loss.

The Roadrunners return home to face off against Rowan University, also on Wednesday at 4 pm.
