Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Rowan University men's soccer team defeated Ramapo College today, 4-2 at the Athletic Center. With the win the Profs improve to 7-4-2, 3-2-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners fall to 6-5-2, 1-3-1.
Christian Fountain put Rowan on the board with his sixth goal of the season; he was assisted by Julian Berrios before Jared Mangone put away his second shot of the season off a corner kick to take a 2-0 lead in the first half.
Ramapo would come within one early into the second half as
Rob Santaniello notched his team leading 12th goal of the year off a pass from
Joseph Kane.
Rowan scored back-to-back goals by Fountain and Robby Davis to take a 4-1 lead with just under 24 minutes to play in the game. The Roadrunners scored their second in the 72nd minute as
Anthony Pasciolla tapped a ball into the back of the net, his second of the season.
Ramapo held a 13-7 advantage on shots on goal but could not convert while the corner kicks were even at five a piece. For the Profs, Ryan Gill tallied 11 saves in the game while
Steve Monaghan posted one save in 66:50 played and
David Lo Bue posted two saves in the final 23:10.
The Roadrunners return to action on the road at Western Connecticut State University on October 17th at 7:00pm.
