Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team drew a 0-0 tie in double overtime against the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers-Newark University. The Roadrunners now stand at 6-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raiders are 6-2-1 overall, 0-1-1 in the conference.
The two teams played 90 minutes of scoreless soccer forcing the game into overtime where again the two teams played to a 0-0 draw. Both teams had opportunities to score as sophomore
Rob Santaniello (Oakland, NJ) struck seven times for the Roadrunners while senior Innocent Buule (West New York, NJ) five of his own for the Scarlet Raiders.
Ramapo held a 19-12 advantage in shots in the game and an 11-5 edge in corner kicks.
For the Roadrunners senior
Brad Stockton (Toms River, NJ) posted seven saves while sophomore Jonathan Frances (Chandler, AZ) collected six of his own for the Scarlet Raiders.
Ramapo returns to action when they travel to NJAC rival William Paterson University on September 29th at 7:00 PM.
