Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team defeated the Bloodhounds from John Jay College on the road, 5-4. The Roadrunners improve to 7-4 overall while the Bloodhounds fall to 9-3 in their final match of the season.

Prasanna Fernando (Wood-Ridge, NJ) and Matt Soos (Barnegat, NJ) picked up the only win in doubles play when they defeated their opponents, 8-1. The Roadrunners took four matches in singles play to pull out the 5-4 win.

Fernando defeated Stephen Walz, 6-4 and 6-0 at first singles before John Jay took second and third singles matches. Matt Cacciaguida (Hampton, NJ) defeated Kelvin Rodriguez, 6-2 and 6-1 before Douglas Gromack (Hampton Bays, NY) pulled out the 6-2, 7-5 win at sixth singles and the win for Ramapo.

The Roadrunners return to action on Monday, May 3rd when they host Rutgers-Newark University at 4:00 PM in their final match of the season.
