Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College baseball team defeated Baruch College today, 16-11. The Roadrunners improve to 12-11 overall while the Bearcats fall to 9-14
Ramapo scored five runs on four hits, highlighted by back to back run scoring doubles by sophomore

Baruch scored one run in the second inning on a single to right field by Manuel Guerro before Ramapo scored five runs on four hits in the bottom half of the inning to take a 10-1 lead. The Bearcats scored three runs on three hits to come within six runs of the lead in the top of the third before Ramapo came back in the bottom half of the inning and scored four runs to take a 14-4 lead going into the fourth inning.
Baruch added runs in the fifth, sixth and eighth innings while they shutout Ramapo from the fourth through seventh innings. Ramapo took a 16-8 lead after the bottom half of the eighth inning. The Bearcats made it interesting in the top of the ninth inning as they scored two runs on a Ramapo error with the bases loaded and no outs before scoring their final run on a wild pitch, 16-11

Joey Cacchiola (Union, NJ) was 3-4 with three runs scored and one RBI while Della Serra was 3-3 with one run scored and three RBI. Sophomore
Kevin Knox (Matawan, NJ) was 2-4 with three runs scored and two RBI while Mauriello was 1-2 with one run scored and three RBI.
They return to action tomorrow when they travel to NJAC rival Kean University at 11:30 AM.
