Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University men's swim team recorded 13 points in the final event, the 400-yard freestyle relay, to come back and defeat the visiting Roadrunners today, 132-130.
Ramapo won the 200 yard medley relay, 100 yard backstroke, 200 yard butterfly, 50 freestyle, 200 yard backstroke, 200 yard breaststroke, 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard IM before MSU slipped past the Roadrunners on the final event of the day.
In the 200-yard medley relay team made up of,
Stephen Fox,
David Nehls,
Alex DeVries and
Mike Waterhouse, they placed first as they clocked in at 1:41.00. Fox took first in the 100-yard backstroke in 54.76 while DeVries clocked in at 2:03.98 for first place in the 200-yard butterfly.
Fox took home another first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle in 22.46 and Ramapo went 1-2 in the 200 yard backstroke with Fox taking first place, 2:01.41 and
Andrew English placed second in 2:04.75. Nehls recorded a first place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:20.73 while English took first in the 200 yard IM in 2:03.40.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Rowan University on January 16th at 2:00 pm.
