Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated Drew University today at the Adele and Thomas swimming pool, 123-47. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-1 overall while the Rangers drop to 0-1 on the season.
The Roadrunners finished 1-2 in the 200-yard medley relay.
Andrew English (Lincoln Park, NJ),
David Nehls (Oakland, NJ),
Alex DeVries (Rockford, MI) and
Johnny Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) took first place in 1:48.90 while
Alex Krueger (East Brunswick, NJ),
Kyle Plucinsky (Denville, NJ),
Nikolas Ablan (Hazlet, NJ) and
Geoff Richter (Cherry Hill, NJ) finished in 2:04.88.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Richter and DeVries finished 1-2 with times of 1:51.96 and 1:54.25 respectively.
Stephen Fox (Freehold Twp., NJ) took first place (22.64) in the 50-yard freestyle while
Terry Hubert (Howell, NJ) finished in second (23.59) and
Richard Maier (Beachwood, NJ) finished in third (24.44). English took home a first place finish in the 200-yard IM in 2:07.16 while DeVries and English finished 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly in 54.98 and 59.63 respectively.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host SUNY New Paltz on November 13th at 2:00pm.
