Bethlehem, PA: The Ramapo College of New Jersey field hockey team scored a pair of first half goals and then held off a late rally with a 2-1 non-conference win versus Moravian College at Betty Prince Field Wednesday afternoon.

Aimee Herbert (Oceanport, NJ) knocked in her first goal of the season off a penatly corner by junior
Rachel Seidman (Somerset, NJ) and ten minute later, junior forward
Jayne Manigrasso (Atlantic Highlands, NJ) scored a put back goal after a save for her fifth goal of the season.
Moravian would finally get on the scoreboard in the 68th minute when senior forward Becky Renaldo, tapped in a one-touch pass from freshman midfielder/forward Chelsea Grotyohann after a long shot by senior forward Vita Ranella on a penalty corner. For Renaldo, who started the penalty corner, it was her ninth goal of the season.
Ramapo had a 15-13 advantage in shots including an 11-5 edge in the first half while the Greyhounds had a 13-8 advantage in penalty corners. Sophomore goalie
Rebecca Elliott (Brick, NJ) had seven saves for the Roadrunners while sophomore keeper Catherine Gottlieb had five saves for Moravian. The Greyhounds, who dropped their ninth one-goal match of the season, received a defensive save from sophomore defender Stephanie Pezzello.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Wilkes University at 4:00 PM in their final home game of the regular season. Ramapo will honor it's senior class prior to the game.
