Mahwah, NJ: Sophomore Rob Santaniello (Oakland, NJ) tied the single season goals scored record to lead Ramapo to a 4-0 shutout over Western Connecticut State. The Roadrunners improve to 9-2-4 while the Colonials now stand at 3-9-1 overall.

Santaniello put the Roadrunners on the board 4:26 into the game with his 18th goal of the year on a assist by junior Dale Santiago (Jamesburg, NJ), before sophomore Jonathan Yazo (Cliffside Park, NJ) buried a goal (27:56) into the back of the net from 25 yards out, unassisted. Santaniello, who is the nation's leading scorer, recorded the single season tying goal at 34:18,when senior Francis Carr (Monroe Twp., NJ), slipped a ball in front of the net for the waiting forward. He ties Ramapo Athletic Hall of Fame member Nansha Kolonji who tallied 19 goals in 1997.

Senior Jim Clementi (Medford Lakes, NJ) posted his second goal of the year when he converted a penalty kick after a hand ball in the box by the Colonials at 37:42 in the first half.

Senior net-minder Brad Stockton (Toms River, NJ)  tallied one save in 45 minutes of play and rookie Stephen Monaghan (Middletown, NJ) finished the game for the combined shutout. Ramapo held a 19-3 advantage in shots and a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Ramapo returns to action when they host NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University on Saturday at 1:00pm. The Roadrunner will honor their senior class prior to the game.
