Pomona, NJ: Rafael Duarte (Ocean City/Ocean City) scored two goals as Richard Stockton (8-1, 3-0) defeated Ramapo (6-1-1, 1-1-1) 4-1 on Saturday afternoon for its sixth consecutive win.
Duarte has now scored five goals in his last three games. Sean McCallum (Vineland/ Vineland) and Brennen Fitzsimmons (Neptune/Neptune) also hit the net for the Ospreys, as they scored three times in the second half.
Justin Stone (Marlboro/Marlboro) got the only tally for the Roadrunners in the first half.
Stockton goalkeeper Lou Herring (Freehold/Freehold) made four saves in picking up the victory while Ramapo goalie
Ian Tighe (Wyckoff/Ramapo) knocked away three shots.
Duarte's first goal came at the 23:44 mark of the first half on a rocket to the top right corner. Just 5:23 later, Stone scored on a header from a corner kick by
Rob Santaniello (Oakland/ Ramapo) for a 1-1 tie.
The second half started with Duarte scoring just 1:36 in on a nice pass from McCallum. McCallum then scored on a Duarte assist at 62:47 and Fitzsimmons ended the scoring with 4:07 left on an assist by Pat Tolomeo (Ocean City/Ocean City).
Richard Stockton will play at Neumann on Monday, September 28 at 4 p.m. Ramapo will visit New Jersey City for an NJAC game on Wednesday, September 30 at 4 p.m.
