Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College tennis team defeated the Devils from Fairleigh DickInson University Florham, 6-3 today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-8.

Anthony Jelderks (Wayne, NJ) teamed up at first doubles to defeat Adam Geiger (Mountainside, NJ) and Joe Li (Parsippany, NJ), 8-4, before junior
Matt Soos (Barnegat, NJ) and rookie
Chad Rochman (Oakland, NJ) defeated Kevin Ly (Staten Island, NY) and Ian Scott (Franklin, NJ), 8-2.
Ramapo fell in a close match at third doubles when sophomore
Matt Cacciaguida (Hampton, NJ) and rookie
Michael Clark (Sewell, NJ) fell to Wes Harnett (Long Valley, NJ and Andrew Scamporino (Secaucus, NJ), 8-6.
The Roadrunners held a 2-1 lead going into singles play when they picked up four points with victories at first and second singles along with fourth and fifth singles. Fernando defeated Geiger 7-6, (7-5), 6-2 before Jelderks came back to defeat Li at second singles, 3-6,6-3,6-4.
FDU recorded a point at third singles when Hornett defeated Soos, 4-6, 7-5, (11-9) before Cacciaguida nearly swept Ly at fourth singles, 6-1 and 6-1. Scamporino came back to defeat Rochman 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 while Clark defeated Scott, 5-2, 6-2 at six singles.
Ramapo returns to action on April 4th against Lancaster Bible at Noon.
