Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated the previously unbeaten College of Staten Island today, 162-94. The Roadrunners raise their record to 3-2 overall while the Dolphins fall to 3-1.

The 200-yard medley relay team made up of Stephen Fox (Freehold Twp., NJ), David Nehls (Oakland, NJ), Andrew English (Lincoln Park, NJ) and Peter Polgar (Wayne, NJ)came in first place with a time of 1:41.67.

Geoff Richter (Cherry Hill, NJ) took home a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.27 while finishing second in the 1,000 yard freestyle in 12:16.29.

Fox finished in second place in the 100-yard backstroke in 54.46 while he placed first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:10.12.

Ramapo finished 1-2-3 in the 100-yard breaststroke as Nehls (1:02.46), Robert Stein (Sloatsburg, NY) (1:04.55) and Kyle Plucinsky (1:05.87).

Polgar took home a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.46. Mike Waterhouse (Eastampton, NJ) finished second in the same event, 22.34 while taking second in the 100 yard freestyle in 51.04.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team took home a first place finish in 3:34.65, the team was made up of Mat Altman, Waterhouse, Richter and Frank Patierno (Boonton Twp., NJ). Patierno also placed first in the 100 yard freestyle in 50.31.

The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Coco Beach, Florida over the winter break and will take on Baldwin-Wallace College on January 8th at 4:00 PM
