Ewing, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team fell to the Lions of the College of New Jersey today, 91-160 in Ramapo's season opener. The Roadrunners fall to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC while the Lions improve to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Sophomore Stephen Fox (Freehold Twp., NJ) took home a first place finish in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of, 53:78. This was Ramapo's first ever-individual win against TCNJ. Fox also took second place in the 200-meter backstroke when he clocked in at 2:03.95.

Rookie Geoff Richter (Cherry Hill, NJ) placed fourth in the 200-meter freestyle in, 1:52:11 while he finished second in the 500-meter free in 5:10.87. Sophomore Peter Polgar (Wayne, NJ) took home a second place finish in the 50-meter free in 22:48 while rookie Frank Patierno (Boonton Twp., NJ) also took second in the 100-meter free when he clocked in at 50:63.

The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Drew University on Saturday, November 7th for a 1:00 PM start.
