Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team dropped a tough 5-4 decision tonight to Cabrini College, falling to 0-2 at the start of the 2008-2009 season. Cabrini earns their first win of the year improving to 1-0.
Ramapo took one of three doubles match-ups falling just one point short, 1-2, heading into singles play.
Paul Baluyut (Paramus, NJ) and
Dan Khaylo (Fair Lawn, NJ) earned the lone point in doubles match-ups dropping the Cabrini pair, 8-1.
Baluyut stepped up once again at fourth singles earning a 6-1, 6-0 win defeating Brendan Hajas, and Khaylo gained another point for Ramapo in the third spot recording the 6-3, 6-1 win. Ramapo's final point came in the sixth and final singles match-up where rookie Chad Rochamn posted a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory.
The Roadrunners return to action on September 30th when they host East Stroudsburg at 5:00 PM.
