Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team defeated Saint Thomas Aquinas today at the Athletic Center, 7-2. Ramapo improves to 4-5 while STAC falls to 0-4.

Rookie Prasanna Fernando (Woodridge, NJ) defeated Tony Tello at first singles, 6-0, 3-6 and 6-1 before sophomore Allen Kats (Montville, NJ) defeated Jeff Boyce, 6-1 and 6-1 at second singles. Ryan Maher defeated junior Keith Dobrin (Tinton Falls, NJ) in an exciting match, 7-6 (10-0), 0-1 (0-9), 1-0 (8-0) before senior Jared Rochman (Oakland, NJ) defeated Mike Antolini, 6-1 and 6-2 at fourth singles. Rookie Paul Balyut (Paramus, NJ) defeated John Lliev in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0 while Adam Toth (South Plainfield, NJ) picked up a win at sixth singles, 6-4 and 6-2.

The doubles team of Fernando and Katz defeated Tello and Maher, 8-4 while Baluyut and rookie Matt Cacciaguida (Hampton, NJ) defeated Lliev and Ed Reiter, 8-0.

The Roadrunners return to action on Sunday as they travel to Alvernia College for a 1:00 PM match time.
