Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's tennis team improved to 10-7 overall today with a 9-0 sweep over Caldwell College. The Cougars fall to 2-8 on the year.
Prasana Fernando (Wood-Ridge, NJ) posted a 9-8 doubles victory with fellow teammate
Allen Kats (Montville, NJ) before earning a 7-6, 7-6 singles victory at the first singles spot over Alex Ali (Lakewood, NJ).
Jared Rochman (Oakland, NJ) and
Matt Soos (Barnegat, NJ) paired up at second doubles earning an 8-1 win and
Paul Baluyut (Paramus, NJ) and
Matt Cacciaguida (Hampton, NJ) wrapped up doubles action with an 8-3 win of their own.
Kats took second doubles, 6-2, 6-4 and
Keith Dobrin (Tinton Falls, NJ) and Rochman followed with 6-4, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-3 wins respectively. At fifth singles, Baluyut went 6-1, 6-0 over Andrew Loughnane (Harrison City, PA) and Cacciaguida wrapped up tennis action today with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the final singles spot.
The Roadrunners take on East Stroudsburg on April 28th away at 3:00 PM for their final match of the season.
