Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team picked up their first victory of the season over Drew University, 114-68. The Roadrunners improve to 1-2 overall while the Rangers fall to 0-1.
The relay team made up of rookie
Stephen Fox (Freehold Twp., NJ), sophomore
David Nehls (Oakland, NJ), rookies
Mike Waterhouse (Eastamtpon, NJ) and
Terry Hubert (Howell, NJ) finished first in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:43:49.
In the 200-yard freestyle, rookie
Johnny Olsson (Stockhold, Sweden) placed first in 1:57:81 while Waterhouse finished in first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time 23:65.
Hubert placed first overall in the 200-yard individual medley clocking in at 2:15.04 while Fox placed first in the 100-yard butterfly in 59.01. Hubert placed second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:22.94
Ramapo picked up second through fourth place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Rookies
Erik Kristiansen (Sussex, NJ), Matt Hart (Chatham, NJ) and Matt Hangman (Pequannock, NJ) clocked in at 12:41.44, 12:50.62 and 15:17.44 respectively.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host NJAC rival Rowan University on November 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
